Overview Plenary Session I of GLOBAL 2017 will be held from 08:30 to 12:00 on 26th of September 2017 with the title of “Global Back-end Nuclear Fuel Cycles and Challenges for High Level Radioactive Waste Management”.

In this session, we will have five presentations from two countries with once-through nuclear cycle programmes, two countries with recycling policies, and a representative from IAEA.

Each speaker except IAEA is to present his or her own country’s status and prospect for back-end nuclear fuel cycle programme and challenges for the high level radioactive waste management for 15 minutes and responds to short questions.

And the representative from IAEA will be presenting the global back-end nuclear fuel cycle status and challenges for the high level radioactive waste management.

After a short break, all the speakers will be participating in the panel discussion moderated by Dr. M. J. Song.
